How can it possibly be Fall already? Time sure flies. Fall is the time when most people are considering a new look for the holiday and are asking, “what can I do to spruce up my home?” Our advice, remodeling makes a home more appealing and increases the value.
NHOME is honored to have Vision Design and Build on our cover. The owner and founder, Bryan E. Smith, is the President – elect of the Greater San Antonio Builders Association.

By nature he is detailed oriented. He and his staff have created a one-stop shopping experience for their customers. Life is busy these days, and many appreciate saving time with this type of service approach. Having learned more about Bryan, I can assure you’ll be eager and quickly comfortable to using Vision Design and Build for your new construction or remodeling project.
Since this is our special remodel issue, we can’t write about remodeling without suggesting how a new garage door will enhance the look and value of a home. Randy Oliver of Hollywood Crawford shares Remodeling Magazine’s annual cost vs. value report in his NHOME article.
Also in this issue we profile a Realtor with a very intriguing background and story. Gasper Sifuentes was once a SA Finest Cop. With both a military and law enforcement background, Gasper has made it a point to share his leadership skills to help others succeed. He is also very open about his faith. When I initially visited his office, I was so moved to see that he actually has a bible study invitation to staff or anyone interested. He doesn’t impose on anyone but freely makes his knowledge and experience available to all. His story is inspirational and motivating.
At NHOME, we are passionate about business helping the community, and we know many did a little something extra to help after Harvey. We called our friends at GSABA to learn who went the extra hands-on mile to make a difference for Harvey and Irma victims.
You’ll enjoy reading about Texans helping Texans. We’ve shared their stories, as well as what President and CEO, Paula Gold-Williams and her staff at CPS Energy did to put people and communities first.
With the recent devastating hurricanes, many of us have began to value the simple things we take for granted, and my hope is that most of us are now taking more time to focus on family and on helping people in general, with or without a catastrophe.
Thank You As Always,
